GENERAL RULES
1. Only current year paid PEAC members and/or gold card PEAC members in good standing are eligible for year-end awards. No points will be counted prior to paying current year membership fee to sec/treas. No points will count prior to point keeper receiving sign-up form and fee. No points and /or awards will be given to persons (or their horses) in bad standing with the PEAC. See PEAC by-laws Article 11. Section G.
2. If a non sufficient fund NSF check or a check on a closed account is received for either membership or points fees, no points will be counted UNTIL all monies due the PEAC are paid in full and point keeper has been informed by the president of the date to again count points on divisions individual had signed up for. No points of any kind will be counted for the period of time from bad check being received and being paid in full.
3. If the PEAC board is notified by any other club that a person competing for PEAC points has issued a bad check to that club's show that has not been made good within the 14 day period for turning in PEAC points, points from that specific show will not count for year-end points.
4. There is a $10 registration fee per horse or Non-Pro per division and a $5 per youth per division registration fee. All horses signed up for PEAC year-end awards must be registered with the ApHC, Moscow, Id.) and must have show eligible papers. Send registration form, completely filled out with all numbers, names and divisions entered to the PEAC point keeper along with all applicable fees. Forms and fees MUST be in point keeper's hands prior to the first class of the first show you wish to count for points. Point keeper will place date of receipt of form and fee on top of each form along with mode of payment and will initial form. Mailed forms will also have post mark noted on form.
5. Upon completion of necessary paperwork for signing up, the point keeper will send point sheet copy of current year-end award rules and acknowledgement of divisions for which money was received to the entrant. Extra sign-up forms and point sheets will be printed in the newsletter and may be copied for extra uses.
6. Point sheets must be filled out completely by the participant and must be post marked or handed to the point keeper no later that 14 days from the last day of the show you wish to have counted for points or the points from that show will not be counted. Points sheets handed to the point keeper will be dated and initialed at the time of receipt by the point keeper.
7. As points are credited to the youth not the horse, youth may ride more than one horse.
8. Awards will be given to the horse or showman determined by the audit of the points to be the Grand Champion or the Reserve Champion in each division with 3 or more participants signed up for points. If only 2 participants are signed up, then only Grand champion will be given. If only one participant is signed up by July 15 of current year, money will be refunded and no award will be given, with the exception of youth divisions, where you need only 1 participant for an award to be given.
9. You may send in points from as many shows as you attend, but PEAC will only use the points from your 6 numerically best shows. Breed division shows must be ApHC approved. Open division shows will include all open shows, fairs, etc. with a criteria judge.
10. Other Than Appaloosa Open Division :This division is open to all horses WITHOUT ApHC showable papers. Horses must be owned by an Palouse Empire Appaloosa Club member. Only classes at horse shows, fairs or other competions which are not restricted to a certain breed of horse will be counted toward these awards.
11. Beginning date for counting points will be November 1st with cut off date as of October 31st of proceeding year.

In Breed Division Only -
No Grand Champion points to count from open shows nor will championship-riding classes count for points.
13. In case of a tie for any award, the horse with the greatest number of first place points and grand champion points combined will be declared the winner. If the tie still is unbroken, second place points will be counted etc. If there is no way to break the tie, duplicate awards will be given.
14. All rules will be strictly enforced.
15. Disputes/problems/protests/questions will be brought before the PEAC Board of Directors for resolution. Their decision will be final,
World Qualifying Points
1. All horses signed up for PEAC Breed Division year end points are automatically signed up for World Show qualifying points. Fee, if you to sign up for ONLY World Qualifying points, is $5.00 per horse, points are to be kept on. See currnet ApHC rulebook for list of World Show qualifying classes. All other year end point rules apply for these points.
